PCSI was founded in April 1996 by three businessmen in San Antonio, Texas. Their focus on contract fulfillment and customer satisfaction—coupled with their commitment to supporting people with disabilities to succeed at work—has enabled PCSI to grow and generate jobs.  Today we employ over 1,700 across the United States.

Janitorial, Grounds & Landscaping

In October 1996, PCSI was awarded a Janitorial and Grounds & Landscaping contract in west Texas. Over the years, the organization has expanded into increasingly complex service lines, creating more opportunities—in greater variety—for people with disabilities.

Total Facilities Management, Warehousing & Logistics, Full Food & Dining, Administrative & Mail

In 1997, PCSI was awarded its first federal contract to serve the U.S Air Force at Camp Bullis Military Post near San Antonio. The Camp Bullis contract to provide Total Facilities Management remains in effect today.

In 1997, PCSI was also awarded a contract to operate 12 secured warehouses at Fort Hood, Texas, including the largest Class 9 bonded warehouse in the world. That contract was followed by Full Food & Dining in 1999 (which has employed as many as 400 people at one time), Administrative in 1999, and Mail in 2005.

Healthcare Environmental Services

In 2001, PCSI entered into its first Healthcare Environmental Services contract with Evans Army Community Hospital in Colorado. Our Healthcare Environmental Services team at Evans has twice been recognized among the “Top 5” nationally by the Association for the Healthcare Environment.

From 2010-2015, PCSI gained contracts at Army and Navy hospitals in Georgia, Kentucky, Oklahoma and Virginia. Our contract at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Virginia, is unique in that it encompasses both Healthcare Environmental Services and Total Facilities Management.

Fleet Management, Hospitality Management, Contact Center

In 2006, Fleet Management was added to our service list. Our 1,000+ ground vehicle fleet management program at Tinker Air Force Base (near Oklahoma City) has been honored three times as one of the 100 Best Fleets in North America by Governing Magazine.

In 2010 and 2011, PCSI assumed new facilities management and logistics contracts—at Fort Sill in Oklahoma and Navy Regional Supply Offices (RSO) in Virginia—while growing business by tens of millions of dollars per year. In 2010, PCSI added Hospitality Management to its list of services while extending its reach to the Pacific Northwest. In 2013, PCSI began offering Contact Center services with its first non-governmental customer in Fort Worth, Texas.
